Souper Moms

I read about Campbell's latest soup promotion on mediaweek.com.

"IN PHOENIX FOR SUPER BOWL XLII, five of the NFL stars featured in this season's "Campbell's Chunky" soup "Mama's Boys" campaign are uniting off the field for a soup-er donation. Matt Hasselbeck, LaDainian Tomlinson, Maurice Jones-Drew, Larry Johnson and Todd Heap and their mothers are part of a one-million-can donation to food banks across the country on behalf of "Campbell's Chunky" Tackling Hunger program."

Campbells is continuing to Speak Female by going to one of mom's most basic instincts: feeding and taking care of her kids.

Valentines Day Spending

According to a recent survey by the National Retail Federation, "the average consumer plans to spend $122.98 on Valentine's Day."

It goes on to say that this year more consumers "[prefer] gifts of experience and gift cards." Apparently gifts of experience includes dinner out. That makes sense. But about the only gift card I'm interested in for V-day would be for my local spa. How about you? Is Valentine's a big money day at your house?
